Information needed for a quote
Share the origin, destination, cargo description, number of pieces, dimensions, gross weight, ready date, and whether pickup or final delivery is required. Approximate information is enough for an initial discussion.
How an air shipment moves
- Planning: we review the route, cargo, dimensions, timing, and handling restrictions.
- Origin: pickup, export arrangements, and airline delivery are coordinated with the overseas partner.
- Flight: the booking and transport document identify the planned routing and cargo details.
- Arrival: documents, terminal handling, customs requirements, and release must align.
- Delivery: released cargo can be collected from the airport and delivered to the agreed destination.
What changes the price and transit time?
Air freight is priced using actual or volumetric weight, whichever is chargeable under the carrier’s rules. Routing, airline capacity, fuel and security charges, origin handling, dangerous-goods requirements, customs readiness, and final-delivery needs also affect the total. A fast flight does not automatically mean fast door-to-door delivery if documents or approvals are incomplete.
Cargo that needs early review
Batteries, chemicals, liquids, temperature-sensitive goods, oversized pieces, high-value cargo, and items with export or import controls may require special packaging, declarations, approvals, or carrier acceptance. Identify these before booking. Do not describe regulated cargo only as “samples,” “parts,” or “general goods.”
